FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State baseball team hosts the Aggies of UC Davis for a three-game series at Pete Beiden Field. The first game is Friday, March 26 at 6:05 p.m. The Bulldogs beat the Aggies, 4-2, in the last meeting of the two teams on April 1, 2009. Friday night marks the 46th meeting between the schools. Mid Week Wrap Up
Fresno State won their mid week road game against Cal Poly, 10-9. Tom Harlan earned his first career start and Matt Morse came out of the bullpen striking out five batters and earning a save. The Bulldogs hit three home runs and six doubles against the Mustang pitchers.
Searching for the Cycle
Senior Steve Detwiler became the second player this year and in the last two games to come close to hitting for the cycle. He was a triple shy of the cycle on March 23 against Cal Poly. Junior Jordan Ribera was one hit away from hitting the cycle in the game before that on March 21 against LMU. The only hit left for the first baseman was a triple.
Going... Going... GONE!
As a team, Fresno State have hit 24 home runs in 21 games, which is the second most in the WAC behind New Mexico State, who has hit 57. Jordan Ribera is leading the way with eight home runs. Trent Garrison, Bobby Coyle and Dusty Robinson have added three home runs, Kenny Wise has two, while Isacc Vivas, Danny Muno, Garrett Weber, Kaohu Gaspar all have hit one.
Another One Bites the Dust
Whenever an opposing batter is struck out at Beiden Field, "Another One Bites the Dust" is played. Already this season teams are tired of hearing it after the Bulldogs have a total of 120 strikeouts. Josh Poytress leads the team in strikeouts with 19. Morse had a season-high five strikeouts in a relief appearance against Cal Poly.
Outfield Goes the Distance
The outfield was on fire gunning down base runners trying to score on fly outs last weekend against LMU. The Bulldogs were 3-for-4 in throwing LMU runners out at the plate. The `Dogs threw out back-to-back Lion runners at the plate starting with one coming in from Steve Detwiler in right field. The next runner attempted to score, but was thrown out by Dusty Robinson in left field.
Double Trouble
Sophomore Brennan Gowens hit two doubles against Cal Poly Tuesday night. It is the second game this season he has recorded two doubles. Gowens has hit a team high 10 doubles this season. He leads the WAC in doubles hit. The Bulldogs have hit a total of 45 doubles this season.
`Dogs Bats Heating Up

He has a recorded a hit in every game dating back to March 7 against Oregon. Danny Muno is heating up recording a hit in the last six games.
