'Dogs Head to Cal Poly

FRESNO, Calif. - The Bulldogs will have their first dual meet of the year against Cal Poly on Saturday in San Luis Obispo, Calif. This will be the first dual meet for the Mustangs also. Cal Poly's women's team finished second and the men's team finished third in the 2009 Big West Championship.

Roxanne Sellick took first in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:29.77 and J'Quyra Moncur-Blue took the hammer throw with a toss of 55.80 meters, personally beating her own record by six meters. Rebecca Crouse set personal bests in the shot put and discus at the meet.
Men's Cal-QuadRecap
Freshmen Cameron Parker and Jordan Walker shined in the sprints and as members of the 4x400 relay team. Parker finished fifth in the 200 with a time of 22.23 and sixth in the 100 with a time of 11.12. Walker took seventh in the 400 with a time of 50.25. Parker and Walker teamed with David Deal and Michael Barragan and took fourth in the 4x400 with a time of 3:23.27. Andrew Mashler cleared 4.50 meters in the pole vault for fifth place and jumped 6.03 in the long jump landing him a sixth place finish.
WAC Indoor Championship
Roxanne Sellick brought home a conference title in the 1-mile race, with a time of 4:54.8. Sellick took second in the 3,000-meter with a time of 10:18.11. Nancy Vizcarra took third in the weight throw, with a career-best of 17.04 meters. Shanelle Stevens finished sixth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.78 and Vanessa Sautebin ran her way to a fifth-place performance in the 60-meter hurdles, with a time of 8.73.
Shoeless Sellick
Roxanne Sellick's second appearance in the WAC Indoor Championship was an exciting one, she competed in the 1-mile and took home the championship by beating the defending champion by two seconds. Sellick's second appearence in the 3,000-meter and finished second, while her shoe came off in the first lap of the race. She finished with a time of 10:18.11, only 1.40 seconds behind the winner, Kim Quinn of Utah State.
