Fresno State Last Chance Meet
The Bulldog track and field team will host its only home meet of the 2010 season, the Fresno State Last Chance Meet, on May 1 at Warmerdam Field. The meet one-day meet will feature athletes from Fresno State, CSU Bakersfield and Cal State Stanislaus. This will be the only chance for fans and media to catch the team in action at home. The meet will also feature "Senior Day" celebrations around 4:15 p.m. Competition begins at noon with the men's hammer throw and women's high jump.

Senior Celebration
The Bulldogs will honor 14 seniors from track and field as well as cross country as they compete in their final meet at Warmerdam Field Saturday. Val-Pierre Dai'Re, Paloma Dominguez, Tim Greene, Marissa McPhail, Jocelyn Oviedo, Andrew Pancotti, Veronica Paredes, Jeryl Pierro, Frank Sanders, Vanessa Sautebin, Roxanne Sellick, Sasha Souder, Nancy Vizcarra and Charles Williams are all concluding their Fresno State careers this season.
Looking Ahead
After the home meet this weekend, Fresno State will take a week off from competition before heading east for the WAC Outdoor Championships in Ruston, La., May 12-15. The meet will take place at the new Jim Mize Track and Field Complex on the campus of Louisiana Tech. Last season the women took third in the eight-team championship, picking up three individual conference crowns (hammer throw, 400- hurdles, 4x400-meter relay). The men's team finished fourth in the conference championships with individual titles in the 1,500-meter and the 4x400 relay. The marks set in Ruston will be the last chance for competitors to improve their marks for the NCAA West Regional. Competitors must be among the best 48 marks in the region to qualify for a chance to move on to the NCAA Championships.
