11 Tennis Players Named Academic All-WAC

FRESNO, Calif. - A total of 11 tennis players between the men's and women's tennis teams were named Academic All-WAC on Tuesday.
From the men's tennis team, Taylor Leiby, Tejesvi Veerepalli, Mirko Zapletal, Siddharth Alapati, Remi Boutillier, Rikus de Villiers and David Ayoun were honored.
On the women's side, Renata Kucerkova, Laura Pola, Bianca Modoc and Melissa McQueen were recognized for their academic achievements.
The Bulldogs led the men's tennis teams with seven selections, one ahead of Nevada, who had the next most.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
