FRESNO, Calif. - Collegiate Baseball newspaper announced the Louisville Slugger NCAA Division I All-American baseball teams on Thursday and Fresno State's Jordan Ribera was named to the second-team as a first baseman.
This is the first All-American honor for Ribera, who a few weeks ago was also named the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
Ribera finished his junior campaign with 27 home runs, which ties him with Tom Mendonca for second place in Bulldog history in homers in a single season.
Ribera started all 63 games and hit .343 with 20 doubles, two triples and a team-high 69 RBIs. He had a 17-game hitting streak in the middle of the season from April 17 to May 14.
Ribera was the only WAC baseball player selected to the Louisville Slugger All-American teams.
