FRESNO, Calif. - The tickets are flying out of the Bulldog Ticket Office with just over 48 hours left to click away before the Fresno State football team's season and home opener against the Big East's Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday night at 7 p.m.
"We are thrilled to welcome Cincinnati to Bulldog Stadium on Saturday and start our season by hosting a team that competed in last year's Sugar Bowl," Fresno State Associate Athletics Director Paul Ladwig said. "This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase Fresno State on the national stage. Ticket sales have picked up strongly this week and we expect a packed house wearing red to cheer on our `Dogs."
As of 4 p.m. on Thursday, there were 32,168 tickets sold for Saturday's contest.
With the pace of sales accelerating as kickoff nears, Ladwig also stressed the importance of getting your tickets as soon as possible to avoid standing in extended lines on game day. The Bulldog Ticket Office is open until 6 p.m. tonight, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and will open at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning.
"We have some of the best fans in the country and we want to make sure everyone has plenty of time to spend with their friends and family at tailgates and inside the stadium," Ladwig added. "It is critical to get your tickets for Saturday's game as early as you can. Most of the public seats are sold out, but we have tickets left in sections throughout the stadium."
A limited number of $30 single-game tickets in the end zone areas and $40 bench seats remain available for Saturday's game. Also, there are approximately 600 red seats left for $75 per ticket.
Fresno State is now sold out of Premium Area seating for the Cincinnati game, which includes the location of more than 1,000 tickets purchased through the special Costco promotion. These seats are directly behind the visitor's bench and come with parking and a discount coupon to The Bulldog Shop.
"We will honor the Costco vouchers in our BDF bench seating areas," Ladwig noted. "These tickets are regularly $50 for the Cincinnati game, so there is still great saving for our Costco customers."
Tickets remaining for the Sept. 4 opener include four-game and three-game mini-plans, and start as low as $84. Family Plans are still available for $380 and include two adult and two youth tickets, which is less than $14 per ticket, per game.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.gobulldogs.com, by calling 559-278-DOGS or in person at The Bulldog Ticket Office, which is located at the south entrance to Bulldog Stadium.
