Bulldogs take on Seminoles at Sweet 16

FRESNO, Calif. - No. 28 Fresno State clashed with No. 27 Florida State on Friday for the first round of the ITA National Indoors Sweet 16, with the Seminoles coming away with a 4-1 victory.
No. 21 doubles team Remi Boutillier and Rikus de Villiers battled a close match against Florida State's Vahid Mirzadeh and Connor Smith. The Seminoles took the lead and won the match, 8-6.
Florida State won the doubles point.
Rikus de Villiers won the only point for the Bulldogs after defeating the No. 37 ranked player, Clint Bowles, 7-5, 6-3.
Seminoles earned victories on courts 3, 5 and 6.
Fresno State will face UCLA/Minnesota loser in a consolation match on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
