'Dogs Move Forward In Doubles Play

MALIBU, Calif. -
As expected, the Fresno State men's tennis team's dynamic duo of senior Remi Boutillier and Francis Alcantara did not disappoint in the Southwest Regional Championship.
The doubles team took on Loyola Marymount's Nicholas Bjerke and Daniel Simko in Friday's tournament, and advanced to the Round of 16 with a, 8-4 win.
The duo plays again on Saturday against Cal Poly's Jurgen DeJager and Brian McPhee.
Alcantara also hit an impressive milestone on Friday afternoon after defeating UCLA's Dennis Mkrtchian in the Round of 64.
Alcantara moved on to the Round of 32 and will be participating in the Quarterfinals on Saturday.
