'Dogs Head To Championships

MALIBU, Calif. -
The wins keep coming in at the ITA Southwest Regional for the Fresno State men's tennis team.
Senior Jean-Charles Diame is the singles champion for the Consolation bracket. After defeating fellow teammate Zach Leslie in the Semifinals, Diame moved on to play in the last round of Consolations. Diame made the final call against San Diego State's Hunter Nicholas, 6-2,6-2.
Sophomore Francis Alcantara and senior Remi Boutillier continue to impress after defeating the tournament's No. 2 seeded doubles team. The 8-5 win against Pepperdine's Hugh Clarke and Finn Tearney earned the 'Dogs a spot in Monday's final round.
Alcantara also wll compete in the finals for singles play against Southern California's Ray Saremiento. Alcantara took the win against Southern California's Yannick Hanfmann, 6-3, 6-3 on Sunday.
Championship play continues on Monday.
