Lies Named Golf World Magazine National Player of the Week
Louisa Lies competed in her first collegiate tournament in Honolulu last spring (66-76-74--216) and went wire to wire after opening with a tournament low of 66 and was selected the Golf World National Player of the Week. Her three round score of 216 is right up there with former winners of this event Anika Sorenstam of Arizona, who shot a 212 in 1992, and Natalie Gulbis, who carded a 216 in 2001. Lies was the only player to shoot par for the tournament, winning the event by five strokes. The Bulldogs are expecting another great season from Lies this year.
