NAMPA, Idaho - The Fresno State women's indoor track and field team stands in sixth place at the WAC Indoor Championships after the second day of competition at the Jacksons Track in Nampa, Idaho.

Utah State is in the lead with 60 points, and Nevada is in second with 50 points. Boise State is in third place with 49 points, followed by New Mexico State in fourth place with 31.50 points. Hawai'i has a hold of the fifth spot with 26.50 points, while Fresno State is in sixth place with 20 points. Louisiana Tech is in seventh with 19 points, while Idaho finishes the second day in eighth place with 16 points.
Fresno State's Meagan McKee took first in the women's weight throw with a toss of 58 ft., 11.50 in. (17.97m,) giving the Bulldogs their first gold medal of the meet.
In the women's 400-meter, Latrisha Jordan finished third with a time of 56.19 and Tiera Hilliard finished fourth with a time of 56.25. Breeauna Thompson finished third in the 200-meter with a time of 24.62.
In the final event of the evening, the Idaho Women put a stop to Utah State's four-year title reign as the distance medley relay champions, as the Vandals took gold this year with a time of 1:48.25. Utah State would claim the silver finishing with a time of 1:50.29, and Fresno State would take third as the Bulldogs finished with a time of 1:57.62. The Bulldogs were led by Marrijtje Molenhuis, Hilliard, Alyson De La Rosa and Saylah Barserian in the medley.
The 2011 WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships conclude on Saturday, with the action beginning at 10 a.m., starting with the men's high jump followed by the rest of the remaining field events. The running events will begin at 12 p.m. and conclude with the women's 4X400-meter relay, slated to begin at 2:30 p.m.
