FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State's Breeauna Thompson has been named the Verizon Western Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, respectively, for the week of March 7-13.

Thompson, a sophomore from Fresno, Calif. (Edison HS), won both the 200- and 400-meter dashes as Fresno State hosted Cal Poly last weekend. She took first place in the 200-meters with a time of 24.83 seconds, and clocked a personal-best time of 55.29 in the 400-meters. Her victories earned crucial points to help the Bulldogs win the meet, 100-97.
