Ross Earns All-Region Nod

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State senior guard Jaleesa Ross has been named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-Region 7 Team, the WBCA announced Wednesday.
Ross is currently averaging 16.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.1 steals per game. She ranks seventh nationally with 3.1 three-pointers per game and earlier this year became the WAC leader in 3-pointers. With 385 treys on her career, she is seven away from the NCAA record.
Ross is one of four honorees in the region and one of 52 honorees nationwide. On Monday, the 52 candidates will be cut to 40 finalists who will be in the running for selection to the 10-member State Farm Coaches' All-America Team.
"We Are Your Team!"--Ross and the Bulldogs earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and will face North Carolina in the first round Saturday in Albuquerque, N.M. The game begins at 1 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN2.
