Dogs Friday Night Game Postponed

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State baseball completed five and half innings on Friday night before the game against the Washington State Cougars was postponed due to rain.
The second game of the series will be finished on Saturday, March 19 starting at 4:30 p.m. The third game of the series will start after the continuation of Friday night's game at 6:05 p.m.
The Dogs resume play with a 16-1 lead in the bottom of the six inning and two outs.
Through the first five and half innings, the Bulldogs had a record breaking night. In the third inning, Brennan Gowens, Garrett Weber and Dusty Robinson hit back-to-back-to-back home runs. The three consecutive home runs ties the school record, which was last done in 2002 against Washington. The Dogs recorded a total of five home runs and are one shy of tying the school record for home runs in a single game.
Sophomore Justin Haley got his first career start on the mound. He struck out a career-high batters in five innings of work. Haley became the first Bulldogs this year to strikeout the side. He allowed three hits and one run.
The game was halted in the bottom of sixth inning with the Dogs leading 16-1.
"We Are Your Team!" The Bulldogs continue the four-game series against the Cougars on Saturday, March 19 at 4:30 p.m. The Dogs close out the non-conference schedule at home with series against Ohio State, San Diego and San Francisco.
