Dogs Compete at USC Invite

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State men's and women's track and field team competed at the USC Invite in Los Angeles at USC Loker Stadium - Cromwell Field clocking and marking multiple bests.
"All in all we had a really productive weekend," said head coach Scott Winsor. "We got some good performances and identified some areas of improvement."
Two Bulldogs on the women's side posted personal records. Pamela Cruz placed 2nd in the 3,000-meter race with a personal best time of 10:15.35.
Sophomore J'Quyra Moncur-Blue heaved a personal best in the hammer throw event. She marked a 188-2 (57.36m) for an improvement of three feet from her previous best that she set at the NCAA West Regional in 2010.
Latrisha Jordan raced to cross the finish line first in the 400-meter hurdles. She crossed with a time of 61.65.
The Dogs recorded five other top five finishes. Andrea Greenman pole vaulted to a second place finish with a height of 11-9.75 (3.6m).
Breeauna Thompson clocked a time of 24.69 in the 200-meter dash. Tiera Hilliard finished the 400-meter dash in 56.24. Freshman Alyson DeLaRosa competed in the 800-meter and finished with a time of 2:14.37.
On the men's side Kevin Poythress set a personal record in the 1,500-meter race with a time of 3:58.66.
Cameron Parker competed strongly in the sprints. He ran the 100-meter in 10.79 and the 200-meter in 21.93, coming close to his personal records.
Remington Blair had a strong performance in the 400-meter race placing 4th and Michael Jamieson finished 3rd in the 800-meter.
"We left a lot of people behind with bumps and bruises," said Winsor. "But those that we brought did well and we had a productive weekend."
