Dogs Gear Up For Cougar Classic

FRESNO, Calif. - After matching their best finish of the season, the Fresno State men's golf team will join 17 other teams to compete in the PING Cougar Classic. The tournament will be held at the 7,001-yard, par-72 Riverside Country Club in Provo, Utah. Both junior Bhavik Patel and the Bulldogs as a team once again head into a tournament leading the nation in birdies (according to Golfstat.com) with 128 and 497, respectively. This is the Bulldog's last tournament before they compete in the WAC Championship on May 2-4 at Rio Secco Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Patel is in pretty good company as PGA Tour star Nick Watney owned the top three Bulldog season scoring averages.
