Dogs Take 7 Events at Brutus Hamilton

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State had seven first place finishes at the Brutus Hamilton Open Friday at Edwards Stadium in Berkeley, Calif.
Breeauna Thompson sped to a career-best finish in the 400-meter dash. She crossed the finish at 54.81 before any of the other competitors.
Thompson was also a part of two first place finishing relay teams. The Bulldog women set a season-best in both the 4x100- and 4x400-meter relays with times of 46.41 and 3:46.85, respectively.
Junior Shanelle Stephens took third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.16.
Tierra Hilliard ran a season-best 200-meter dash race with a time of 24.78. Hilliard was also a part of the season-best relay teams.
In the distance runs, Saylah Barserian ran a personal-best in the 1,500-meter with a time of 4:35.43 and a third-place finish. Marrijtje Molenhuis was close behind finishing in fourth with a time of 4:38.66.
On the men's side, four Bulldogs had first place individual finishes.
Cameron Parker ran the 200-meter dash in 21.27. The season-best time was also good for a first place finish.
In the 400-meter dash Jordan Walker took first with a time of 48.95.
Over the 400-meter hurdles Kendrick Young crossed the finish in 53.11 and also placed first for the Dogs.
Olivier Bernard finished first in the 1,500-meter distance event with a time of 3:52.25.
Mid-distance runner Michael Jamieson took second in the 800-meter dash with a time of 1:51.10, a season-best performance.
"We Are Your Team!" - The Dogs return to action April 23 for the Brutus Hamilton Invitational. The team returns to the Valley April 30 as the host the Bulldog Invitational at Buchanan High School.
