FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's soccer program has set the date for its February Identification (ID) Camp, the coaching staff announced Thursday. The first ID camp of 2012 will take place on Sunday, Feb. 5, immediately west of Bulldog Stadium on the White Lot.
"This camp is designed to show players what we do in our training sessions here at Fresno State," said head coach Brian Zwaschka.
The ID Camp is targeted at girls aged 14 years and up who are interested in playing soccer in college and want to find out what a training session is like on the elite college level. The camp will consist of two 2-hour sessions led by the Fresno State coaching staff.
"Everything we teach will be focused on the things that college coaches look for and will be based on themes that are applicable no matter what team you play for," added Zwaschka. "I highly recommend this camp to any aspiring player."
Designed for both field players and goalkeepers, the ID Camp costs just $50.
It will also include a tour of the athletic facilities and a Q&A session with the coaches and student-athletes. Interested athletes are advised to sign up quickly as space is limited to 30 players.
