Nampa, Idaho - The Fresno State women's indoor track and field team finished up the Indoor Western Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday in Nampa, Idaho.
Meagan McKee won the shot put on her sixth throw moving herself from third place to first. Mckee continues to be a leader for the Bulldogs as she set another personal record for herself throwing for 15.73-meters. Mckee clinched two Indoor WAC Championship titles throughout the weekend.
"Meagan is amazing, she knows what she has got to do and she recruits her body to what it needs to do when it needs to do it," Head Coach Scott Winsor said. "She is a very talented young lady who conducts herself well beyond her experience as a sophomore athlete."
Sophomore Anamanu Falau also had a personal record today in the finals and scored three points for the Bulldogs in the shot put.
Breeauna Thompson was asked to do a lot for the `Dogs as she ran the 200, 400, and the 4x400. Thompson placed third in the 400 finishing .40 seconds faster than she did in the preliminaries on Friday.
From where Shanelle Stephens was with her legs and coping with her injury just a week ago, she took fourth place in the 60-meter finishing with a time of 7.63 seconds.
"Shanelle is doing a marvelous job and we cannot wait to get outdoors and see what she can do," Winsor said.
