Haley Named WAC Pitcher of the Week

FRESNO, Calif. - The Western Athletic Conference named Fresno State baseball junior Justin Haley Verizon Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Monday. This is the first conference honor for the 6-5, 255-pound righty.
Haley gave up no earned runs to San Francisco during his first start of the season after going a career-high 7.0 innings.
He struck out a career-high nine batters, facing less than four batters per inning and walking only two.
The Sacramento, native allowed just three hits and has a 1-1 record this season.
Haley and the Bulldogs hit the road next in a rematch against UC Santa Barbara, March 13 at 3 p.m. The 'Dogs fell to the Gauchos (7-1) at home last month. It will be the team's second meeting since 2005.
