FRESNO, Calif. - Riding a three-game win streak, the Bulldogs look to continue building momentum into the season as they face Kent State March 20-21. Fresno State has never faced the Golden Flashes, but has been competing against other members of the Mid-American Conference since the 1950's.
Just six W's away from his 600th career win, head coach Mike Batesole will coach his 1,000th game on Wednesday, March 21. The first pitch for Wednesday's game will be thrown at 4:05 p.m.

RIVAL HISTORY IN A NUTSHELL
Kent State is located in Kent, Ohio and are members of the Mid-American Conference. This will be the first meeting of the two programs. Fresno State has not faced a MAC opponent since 2009 and is 13-2 all-time against current MAC programs.
GETTING PAST THE GOLDEN FLASHES
In his eighth season with Kent State, head coach Scott Stricklin has led the Golden Flashes to a 8-8 record. The team is 7-7 on the road this season and just wrapped up a three-game series against Pepperdine (March 16, 18-19) where they dropped the series 2-1. Freshman Evan Campbell leads all starters with a .413 batting average and leads the team in hits (26), runs (14), total bases (32) and at-bats (63). Redshirt sophomore Troy Summers has appeared in every game and leads the team in stolen bases (11-for-13). Senior David Starn has a 1.60 ERA. He has made five starts this year and leads the team in strikeouts (31) and innings pitched (33.2).

Fresno State with play its 20th and 21st games of the season on March 20 and 21.
IT'S KIND OF A BIG DEAL
With a 594-403-1 overall record, head coach Mike Batesole is just six wins away from reaching 600 for his career, and will coach his 1,000th game Wednesday, March 21 against Kent State. He has amassed over 300 wins at Fresno State in nine seasons at the helm and is 169-102 overall in Western Athletic Conference play.
FINISHING STRONG
Fresno State is undefeated (9-0) this season in games where they are leading after the sixth inning.
SPEED KILLS
Fresno State has stolen 21-of-27 bases attempted this season. Sophomore Aaron Judge and senior Patrick Hutcheson are ranked among the best in the WAC for steals at five each.
WYNNER, WYNNER, CHICKEN DINNER
Sophomore Austin Wynns finished the week of March 12 with three hits, two doubles, two RBI and two runs having not struck out once in nine at bats. His .556 slugging percentage was the best of all the starters. He was the only Bulldog to hit two doubles during the week and helped lead the team to a 3-0 finish.
RED WAVE STAND UP
The series against No. 1 Stanford (March 2-4, 2012) was the highest attended series since 2006. The first game against Stanford was the first non-season opener to reach over 2,900 fans in over six years. Beiden Field averaged over 3,000 fans a game in the series. The 'Dogs had not had a home crowd over 2,900 since the 2010 season opener against Nebraska (3,280) on Feb. 19.
