Thompson Receives Sysco Weekly Award

FRESNO, Calif. - Junior Breeauna Thompson was named Fresno State Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week (April 9-15) after winning both the 200 and 400-meter events at the Sacramento State Mondo Mid-Major Challenge.
Her 24.04 second finish in the 200m dash was the fastest of any Bulldog this season and just .04 seconds off her personal best mark.
In her first time running the 400m in an outdoor event this year, Thompson finished in 55.67 seconds to place first. The mark was the second fastest of her career.
She owns the 'Dogs fastest times both indoor and outdoor for the 200 and 400m races this year.
Fresno State track and field heads to Walnut, Calif. next for the 54th Annual Mt. Sac Relays April 19-21. There are only two meets remaining until the 'Dogs head to Moscow, Idaho for the Western Athletic Conference Championships May 8-11.
