RENO, Nev. --- The Fresno State baseball team returns to Western Athletic Conference play this weekend on the road against rival Nevada for a three-game series at William Peccole Park.
The series starts Friday night at 6 p.m. PT and continues with Saturday and Sunday matinees, that both start at 1 p.m. PT. All three tilts will be featured on AM 940 KYNO with the call by Paul Loeffler and Ray O'Canto.
Fresno State swept Nevada last season by winning all four contests played at Beiden Field back in the San Joaquin Valley and the 'Dogs lead the overall series with the Pack 78-46, including a 34-22 edge when the schools met in WAC matchups.
Sophomore leftfielder Aaron Judge leads the 'Dogs at the plate with his team-best .319 batting average.
Over the past three games, Judge helped spark the Bulldogs to a season sweep of Cal Poly as he went 4-for-7 (.571) and logged a .769 on base percentage. Jordan Luplow also stepped up with a 6-for-11 clip (.545) in the batter's box in the three non-conference games.
Fresno State (17-20, 1-5 WAC) is looking to ride the momentum from the sweep of the Mustangs as the 'Dogs return to conference action.
Nevada (22-18, 5-4 WAC) has won six of its past eight games and sport the reigning WAC Hitter of the Week in Brooks Klein, who hit .353 with five runs scored, nine RBI, two doubles, a triple and two home runs in four games started in right field.
