`Dogs Beat Wolf Pack at WAC Tourney

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The No. 33 Fresno State men's tennis team beat Nevada, 4-0, on Saturday at the New Mexico Tennis Complex in the semifinals of the 2012 WAC Championships.
The'Dogs swept the Pack (11-11) in doubles with wins from the No. 1 and No. 3 teams. Freshman Reid DeLaubenfels and senior Jean-Charles Diame defeated Nathan Reix and Moez Charqui, 8-6, at No. 3 doubles. The Bulldogs clinched the doubles point at No. 1, senior Remi Boutillier and sophomore Francis Alcantara topped Wessim Derbel and Fernando Sunago, 8-5.
In singles, the Bulldogs clinch the win with three consecutive wins from the one, four and five positions. At No. 1, 26th-ranked singles player Boutillier defeated Wessim Derbel, 6-1, 6-1, and senior David Ayoun bested Fernando Sunago, 6-2, 6-4, at No. 4.
Freshman Reid DeLaubenfels clinched the win for the `Dogs with a 7-6 (5), 6-3 victory over Jordan Rozenfeld at the No. 5 position.
The Bulldogs (19-4) will face Idaho at 9 a.m. Sunday as they seek their second-straight WAC Tournament title. Fresno State defeated Idaho 6-1 at home back on March 12.
