SOUTH YARMOUTH, Mass.- Fresno State outfielder Jordan Luplow was named to the 2013 Friendly's Cape Cod League All-Star team as the two 25-man roster's were unveiled Saturday morning.
Luplow, who plays for the Orleans Firebirds, is batting .307 and owns a team-lead 31 hits after 28 games. In addition, he's registered seven doubles along with 14 RBIs. The soon-to-be junior has caught fire over the last eight games, hitting .500 over that span and is second in the CCBL with seven outfield assists.
Luplow is one of four players from his team to be named an all-star and will serve as a reserve for the East division team. This nod marks back-to-back seasons Luplow has been named to a mid-summer classic. Luplow was named an Alaska baseball league all-star for his respective team last year.
The 2013 Friendly's Cape Cod League All-Star game will be played Saturday, July 27 at Red Wilson Field (home of the Y-D Red Sox). First pitch is at 4:30 p.m. (ET), and the game will be televised nationally on Fox College Sports (which can be seen on DirecTV Channel 623).
