Fresno State Concludes UCSB Fall Classic

FRESNO, Calif. - Concluding its fourth fall tournament, the Fresno State men's tennis team picked up 11 wins over the weekend at the UCSB Fall Classic.
The Bulldogs started the tournament strong with three singles wins over Cal, UC Santa Barbara and UC Riverside as well as going 2-for-2 in doubles play.
In singles Flight A, freshman Adam Glynn competed for fifth place against UC Santa Barbara's Morgan Mays where he won 7-5, 6-3 and senior Sai Kartik placed eighth after a 6-3, 6-3 defeat by Cal Poly.
Freshman Youssef Hassan advanced to the championship round in singles Flight C but fell short to UC Davis, 6-3, 6-2. Sophomore Euan McIntosh took tenth in singles Flight B with a loss to Mark Meyer of UC San Diego.
The `Dogs took fourth in doubles Flight A and fell one place short to of first to Cal (8-5) in Flight B.
Up next, Fresno State will travel to Palo Alto, Calif. to compete at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Championships beginning on Friday, Oct. 17.
