Watts Leads `Dogs in Day Three

STANFORD, Calif. - The Fresno State women's tennis team records a successful third day at the ITA Northwest Regionals in Stanford, Calif.
Competing at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium, the Bulldogs found success in all of the singles consolation matches played on Sunday as well as defeats in doubles consolation, open doubles and open singles.
"I'm proud of the team," head coach Ryan Stotland said. "We got better each day and worked on the things we needed to work on and produced some big wins for some of the team which will be monumental in the direction we want to go."
In the singles consolation round of 64, junior Sophie Watts conquered a win against the No. 75 player in the country, Elianne Douglas-Miron representing the University of Washington.
Aishwarya Agrawal, Sofya Malysheva, Anne Susdorf and Anneka Watts all logged victories in singles play. Twins Anneka and Sophie Watts teamed up in the doubles consolation round of 32 to defeat Saint Mary's, 8-4.
