Leading the `Dogs individually after the first 18-holes is senior Madchen Ly, who shot one-under par (71) and is tied for 17th place overall. Junior Hannah Sodersten is currently tied for 16th and ended the day one-over par (73). Sophomore Guðrún Brá Björgvinsdóttir and freshmen Mimi Ho and Samantha Spencer are part of a large pack tied for 67th place after shooting a 6-over (78). Junior Sadye Busby is competing as an individual in this tournament, and shot +8 (80) tied for 84th.
"I saw really excellent play today by Madchen and Hannah in tough windy conditions," said head coach Emily Milberger. "We definitely faced some adversity late in the round but I'm very proud of how the ladies stayed tough. There was some good knowledge gained today about the course and I know we are going to put that to good use for a strong round tomorrow."
