Fresno State Gains Two Wins at UC Davis Invite

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State men's tennis team defeated Sonoma State and the University of San Francisco in Saturday's play at the UC Davis Fall Invitational held at the Marya Welch Tennis Center in Davis, Calif.
In the singles consolation round, Euan McIntosh defeated Jason Lee of the University of San Francisco, 6-0, 6-1. Fresno State then fell to Saint Mary's (6-2, 6-4), Cal (7-6, 6-3) and Pacific 7-5, 6-1.
In doubles, the `Dogs split with a win over Sonoma State by Jakob Keppelmann and Alexandros Georgios Vakouftsis, 8-3 after falling 8-6 to UC Davis in Flight A of doubles play.
Fresno State will be back in action Sunday at 10 a.m. as Youssef Hassan and Euan McInosh both take on competitors from Stanford University in the singles consolation round 1.
In the first round of doubles consolation on Sunday, Hassan and McIntosh will compete against Saint Mary's and Keppelmann and Vakouftis will face Pacific at 8:30 a.m.
