Pre-Game Notes
Fresno State captains: 3, 13, 20, 92
Nevada won the toss, deferred to the second half. This is just the second time all season Fresno State received the ball to start the game. The other time it occurred was back in week two at Utah.
1st Quarter
Maurice Poyadue forced a fumble at 4:59 on his first career sack, which Tyeler Davison recovered for the Bulldogs at the Wolf Pack 32-yard line. That was just the second lost fumble all season by Nevada, who came into the game tied for the national lead in fewest fumbles lost.
Josh Harper caught a 19-yard touchdown catch at 3:29. It was his 29th career touchdown reception and seventh of the season.
2nd Quarter
Fresno State converted its first third-down of the game inside the 13-minute mark when Brian Burrell hit Josh Quezada on a 15-yard completion. The `Dogs were 0-for-4- on third downs in the first quarter.
Greg Watson caught a 46-yard pass at 12:26, his longest reception of the season.
Aaron Peck caught his second career touchdown at 12:23 from 13-yards out. His first TD catch came two games ago against Wyoming on Nov. 1.
Greg Watson caught a 30-yard touchdown pass on a third-and-5 at 9:06.
On a fourth-and-6 from the Bulldog 37-yard line, linebacker Karl Mickelsen recorded a sack for a loss of nine yards to turn the ball over to Fresno State on downs. It was Mickelsen's first sack of the season and second of his career.
Karl Mickelsen intercepted the first pass of his career at 1:57. It came after Fresno State fumbled the ball on a kickoff return.
Brian Burrell scored on a one-yard touchdown run at 0:32. This is his second game this season with three touchdown passes and one rushing touchdown (the other was at New Mexico on Sept. 26).
Greg Watson caught four passes for 89 yards in the first half, setting a new career-high for receiving yardage in a game for the senior.
3rd Quarter
On the first play of the second half, Dalen Jones forced a fumble that Charles Washington recovered at the Nevada 44-yard line. It was the second forced fumble of Jones' career.
Aaron Peck caught a 26-yard touchdown catch at 13:04 for his second TD catch of the game and his first career multi-TD game.
Brian Burrell set a new career-high with his fourth touchdown pass that came on the scoring connection to Peck.
Shannon Edwards recovered a muffed fumble on the Wolf Pack 20-yard line at 9:56.
