Fresno State won the toss, deferred to the second half.
1st Quarter
Fresno State held SJSU to a three-and-out on the game's opening drive. This is the second-straight week that the Bulldog defense held the opposition to a three-and-out on their first drive of the game.
Marteze Waller opened the scoring with a 44-yard touchdown run at 11:21. It was his sixth rush of over 40 yards this season.
Waller went over 1,000 yards rushing on the season on the first play of Fresno State's second drive of the quarter. It is the 21st 1,000-yard rushing season in school history.
At 0:25 on the clock, Marteze Waller rushed for eight yards on a second-down play and went over 100-yards rushing for the sixth time in the last seven games.
This was also the first time a Bulldog running back had rushed for over 100 yards in the opening quarter since Robbie Rouse had 144 yards rushing in the first quarter against Colorado on Sept. 15, 2012.
2nd Quarter
Linebacker Kyrie Wilson intercepted his second pass of the season at 5:24, giving Fresno State the ball on the Spartan 20-yard line.
True freshman tight end Chad Olsen caught his fourth touchdown pass of the season at 2:57.
Josh Harper caught an 18-yard touchdown pass at 1:50 - the 27th touchdown reception of his career. That is the second-most TD catches in school history.
At 0:55, Da'Mari Scott blocked a SJSU punt, which Bulldog running back T.J. Thomas recovered at the nine-yard line and returned for a touchdown. The last time Fresno State blocked a punt and returned it for a TD was by Desia Dunn vs. Cal Poly on Oct. 2, 2010.
3rd Quarter
At 12:16, Josh Harper caught his second touchdown catch of the game. It came on his 200th career reception and he becomes just the fourth Bulldog to ever catch 200 or more passes in a career.
This is Josh Harper's sixth career game with multiple touchdown receptions.
Quarterback Brian Burrell has now thrown for three touchdowns three in three games this season.
