10 Bulldogs Named to Phil Steele's All-MW Teams

FRESNO, Calif. - 10 Fresno State football players were named to Phil Steele's 2014 Preseason All-Mountain West teams in his 2014 College Football Preview, which hits newsstands June 24.
Of the 10 selections to Steele's All-Mountain West teams - he selects a first-, second-, third- and fourth-team - seven Bulldogs graced the first-team. That figure led the league for first-team selections with Utah State coming in second with five first-team honorees. Fresno State defeated Utah State 24-17 in last season's inaugural Mountain West Championship game.
Selected to Steele's first-team on offense was running back Josh Quezada, wide receiver Josh Harper and guard Cody Wichmann.
The first-team selections on defense were defensive lineman Tyeler Davison, outside linebacker Ejiro Ederaine and safety Derron Smith. Punter Garrett Swanson was Fresno State's seventh first-team honoree.
Other selections to Steele's preseason list include offensive tackle Justin Northern (third-team), outside linebacker Donovan Lewis (fourth-team) and safety Charles Washington (fourth-team).
Phil Steele's College Football Preview is the nation's most informative preseason football magazine and has always provided a Preseason All-America Team as well as Preseason All-Conference teams.
Steele's preseason All-America teams will be released on Friday, June. 6.
