'Dogs Wrap Up Day One in Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS - The Fresno State Women's golf team finished up the first two rounds of the Minnesota Invitational on Monday. The Bulldogs are currently in 14th place with a total team score of 624 (311, 313) after the first two rounds. East Carolina holds the first place position with a total score of 581 (294, 287).
"Definitely a challenging day out there for us today," said head coach Emily Milberger. "We made some mental mistakes that heavily penalized us in both rounds. On the other hand There we some real highlights out there today and we need to build on those tomorrow for a solid finish."
After todays competition Junior Hannah Sodersten is leading the team tied for 31st with at 10-over, a total score of 154 (76, 78). Senior Madchen Ly is tied for 39th at 11-over (79, 76) and sophomore Guðrún Brá Björgvinsdóttir is tied for 45th at 12-over (78, 78). Freshmen Samantha Spencer is tied for 59th after firing a 16-over (78, 82) and freshmen Mimi Ho sits tied for 62nd at 17-over (80, 81).
The Dogs play the final round of the Minnesota invitational Tuesday looking for a strong final round and a solid finish.
