`Dogs Defeat Half the Competition on Day One

Tulsa, Okla. -The Fresno State men's tennis team concluded the first day of the ITA All-American Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 27 in Tulsa, Okla.
In the first round of pre-qualifying singles, freshman Adam Glynn defeated Braxton Bates from Oral Roberts University 6-1, 6-2. Sophomore Eric Komati fell 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (5) to Louisville's Alex Gornet.
The second round of singles consisted of a defeat over Wake Forest by Glynn (6-2, 3-6, 6-4) and Junior Nikolas Papic concluded day one of the tournament with a 6-1, 6-2 loss to Oklahoma.
The ITA Men's All-American Tournament is hosted by the University of Tulsa and serves as the first major championship of the fall collegiate season.
Fresno State will return to the Michael D. Case Tennis Center tomorrow, Sept. 28 for day two of tournament play.
