McIntosh Into Round of 32 at Northwest Regional

SEATTLE - Fresno State's Euan McIntosh was the lone Bulldog to advance to Saturday's round of the ITA Northwest Regional. The junior, who is the No. 17 seed, moved on to the Round of 32 of the tournament with a three-set win on Friday.
Dropping the first set 6-4 to Portland's Pierre Garcia, McIntosh rallied back to force a third set with 7-5 win in the second. The two were all square in the third set and forced to play a tiebreaker, which the Bulldog came away with a 7-4 win to advance.
McIntosh will now meet the No. 4 seed Daan Maasland of Oregon on Saturday at 9 a.m., PT. Maasland advanced to tomorrow's match with a three-set victory over UC Davis' Jesse Ross in the Round of 64.
