Bulldogs Sign Two for 2016-17

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State head women's tennis coach Ryan Stotland announced the signing of Katerina Stloukalova and Denisa Ibrahimovic to the Bulldog team for the 2016-17 season.
"Fresno State got two great additions to the Bulldog Family as Katerina and Denisa are superb tennis players and even better people," Stotland said. "I am excited to work with both of them as I know they are willing to work hard and improve every day. They fit into our program perfectly on and off of the court and I know they are looking forward to continuing the great tradition we have here."
Stloukalova is a native of Brno, Czech Republic where she won her country's national junior indoor singles championship in February.
"Katerina (Kate) is a great person as well as an outstanding competitor," Stotland said. "Getting to know her has been a great pleasure as she truly values the hard work and our motto of getting better on a daily basis. I know she will contribute both on and off the court and provide a great example for others."
Ibrahimovic is from Hamburg, Germany and ranks as the No. 29 U18 tennis player in Germany. Competing for Der Club an Der Alster, she plays in the Second Bundesliga. In 2013, she won both the U21 Dunlop Junior Series Kaltenkirchen and the U21 Dunlop Winter Circuit.
"Denisa is a very talented tennis player who is also going to bring a very good personality to our team," Stotland noted. "She will give it her all here at Fresno State and I am excited to see how good she can be on and off the court."
