`Dogs Host Fresno City on Friday

FRESNO, Calif. - With rain expected this weekend, the Fresno State men's tennis teams has cancelled Saturday's dual match with Sonoma State. The Bulldogs have added a dual match to its schedule on Friday as the team will host Fresno City College at Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center which will be played at 11:15 a.m, PT.
The team which had rescheduled its match with Holy Names for Friday at 3 p.m., PT, and it would be played at Sierra Sport & Racquet Club, has now been cancelled.
Fresno State has not faced any competition since going 1-1 on the opening weekend of the spring season three weeks ago. The team dropped a 4-3 decision to host Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Calif., on Jan. 16, before returning to the courts the following day to earn a 5-2 win over St. Mary's.
Freshman Yousef Hassan and sophomore Eric Komati are both 2-0 in singles play for the Bulldogs. Komati won both of his matches during the opening weekend in straight sets. The team of Adam Glynn and Euan McIntosh are 2-0 in doubles competition.
Friday's matches will prepare the `Dogs for the following weekend as they hit the road again for dual matches against Pacific and Santa Clara.
