FRESNO, Calif. -- The Fresno State men's tennis team will enter the Mountain West Championships this week after getting its first ITA ranking season, coming in at No. 69. The Bulldogs are the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament and will face No. 5 seed Boise in the quarterfinals at 2 p.m., PT on Thursday at McKinnon Family Tennis Center in Albuquerque, N.M. The `Dogs defeated the Broncos on April 12, 4-3, in Fresno.

Entering the Rankings
- On April 21, Fresno State entered the ITA rankings for the first time this season, coming in at No. 69.
- The `Dogs will be one of four ranked teams at the conference tournament.

- Since starting the season 5-5, the young crop of Bulldogs enter the Mountain West Championship having won 11 of their last 15.
Playing it Close
- Just over a third of Fresno State's matches this season have gone down to the seventh point.
- The `Dogs are 6-3 this year in matches that have come down to the final point and have won their last four 4-3 decisions.
McIntosh Taking Over
- Since the middle of March, Euan McIntosh has been the Bulldogs' most consistent player in singles competition. In his last 12 matches, the sophomore is 9-1, finishing all nine of his wins in straight sets.
Doubling Up
- Since Sai Kartik Nakireddi and Nikolas Papic teamed up in doubles beginning on Feb. 14, the two have been the team's top doubles pair with a 14-6.
Doubles the Key
- Since March, Fresno State is 7-0 in matches when it has won the doubles point.
Winning in the Middle
- Fresno State has relied on its No. 3-5 spots, as the team has posted records of 12-6, 15-5 and 17-5 records in the lineup this season.
- The .733 winning percentage between the No. 3-5 spots is significantly higher than that of the .444 from the team's other three spots.
Knocking off Ranked Opponents
- Although Fresno State had struggled against ranked opponents to start the season, going 0-4, the team has gone 3-2 since the start of April versus ITA Top 75 teams.
