COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Fresno State women's golf senior Madchen Ly was named a first-team All-Mountain West selection, the conference announced on Thursday. Ly was selected to compete in the NCAA Regionals on Monday.
Ly rounds out her Fresno State career being selected to an all-conference team all four years. Ly was named second-team All-Mountain West her sophomore and junior seasons, and was named the WAC Freshman of the Year and first-team all-conference in the Bulldogs' final season in the WAC.
As a senior, the Clovis native's season was highlighted by being selected as an individual for the NCAA postseason for the second consecutive year, prior to being named All-MW. This year she was named the No. 1 individual seed for the South Bend, Ind. Regional that begins May 7.
Ly placed in the top 10 of eight tournaments this season, including five in the top five and an individual victory at the Fresno State Classic in October. Over 31 rounds of golf in the 2014-15 season, Ly owns a 73.19 scoring average and posted a career-low 67 at the UNLV Collegiate Showdown on Oct. 28. She most recently placed sixth at the Mountain West Championship.
