Bulldogs Finish Season Ranked No. 65 by ITA

FRESNO, Calif. -- The Fresno State men's tennis team enjoyed its best season during its three years under head coach Evan Austin as the Bulldogs closed out the year ranked No. 65 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

The `Dogs' 16 wins were the most under Austin, nine more than season one and three more than last season. The steady progression in the win column helped lead Fresno State to its first ITA ranking since February of 2013.

Unranked throughout the year, the Bulldogs closed the regular season winning 10 of their last 13 dual matches which included wins over then-No. 65 Santa Barbara, No. 72 UC Irvine and No. 75 UNLV. The team's only losses during the stretch came on the road to opponents that ranked in the ITA's top 45.
