Four 'Dogs Named to USTFCCCA All-America Team

NEW ORLEANS - Four Fresno State's student athletes received NCAA Division I honorable mention honors on Monday, in part of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's (USTFCCCA) All-America team for the 2015 outdoor track & field season.
Nailah Harris-Murillo (4x400m relay), Dezirae Johnson (4x400m relay), Kyra Johnson (400mH/4x400m relay) and Njeri Omawahleh (4x400m relay), all participants at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor National Championships in Eugene, Ore. on June 11, earned NCAA Division I Women's 2015 USTFCCCA honorable mention.
The awards were based on the results of the NCAA championships.
In the sprinting events, the eight finalists were named first-team All-American; in the distances and field, the top eight finishers were named first-team.
In all events, finishers 9-16 were named second-team All-American, and the rest of the competitors were named honorable mention.
The Fresno State 4x400m relay team finished 20th (3:40.67) among the nation's 24 semifinalist that traveled to Eugene, while K. Johnson also placed 20th of 24 (59.26) in the 400m hurdles.
Schools must be USTFCCCA members for their student-athletes to receive All-America honors.
