FRESNO, Calif. - Just like the Bulldog football team this offseason, the Fresno State Athletic Department has beefed up its show to enhance the fan experience this fall at Bulldog Stadium.
From installation of a new video board, to hospitality areas, to fan-friendly tailgating changes and skydivers, Fresno State is bringing a whole new atmosphere to Bulldog Stadium this fall.
The `Dogs are 17-2 at home under head coach Tim DeRuyter and have led the Mountain West in attendance the last two seasons. Fresno State is continuing to find entertaining options to give the Red Wave a fan-friendly experience at Bulldog Stadium.
New to gamedays this year is:
Tailgating
• Fans parked in the lots on the west side of Cedar Avenue (Fresno Lexus Blue Lot, Clawson Motorsports White Lot and the Red lot) will be able to tailgate throughout the entirety of the game. Cars parked on campus to the east of Cedar Avenue will continue to have tailgating hours that conclude at kickoff.
• Tailgating opens four hours prior to kickoff and ends two hours after the game.
Toyota Drive
• Formerly known as Bulldog Boulevard, the newly branded Toyota Drive offers family and friends attractive pregame entertainment.
• Attractions on Toyota Drive include food truck alley, fun and interactive games like remote control race tracks and inflatable games, a kid's zone and much more.
Aerial Show
• A skydiving team will be performing at Bulldog Stadium in conjunction with the games. For the season opener, they will land in Bulldog Stadium just prior to kickoff.
• You can also expect to see #Bulldog1, the blimp Fresno State has leased through Boling Air Media, out at games (depending on weather conditions).
• Flyovers at Bulldog Stadium are also planned for this season, although one is not scheduled for the home opener on Sept. 3.
Victory Valley Presented by Bud Light
• This is the fan hospitality area that in recent years was located in the Red Lot and now it has been enhanced and moved to a new, more convenient location in between the east-side seating bowl of Bulldog Stadium and the soccer and lacrosse field.
• It will open up four hours prior to kickoff and close at the end of the third quarter.
• Victory Valley will serve beer during the pregame tailgate (four hours prior to kickoff). During the pregame tailgate, entry is restricted to persons 21 years of age and older.
• Victory Valley will feature local food trucks and vendors and Pardini's, the food and beverage concessionaire for Fresno State Athletics, will also offer tasty treats and refreshments.
• At the beginning of the second quarter, Victory Valley will be open to fans of all ages who have a game ticket as another vending option for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
New Video and Ribbon Boards
• Expect to see more replays, highlights, fresh content, out-of-town scores and more on Fresno State's new video and ribbon boards in the north end zone.
• Use the hashtag #BulldogPix when posting photos of you and your friends on Twitter or Instagram at Bulldog Stadium and we'll put your picture up on the new video board.
Enhanced Customer Service
• The free shuttle service provided to get fans parked east of Cedar Avenue to Bulldog Stadium will now be dropping fans right at the north gate of Bulldog Stadium. Fans can return to the east side of campus by getting on a bus at the same spot on the north end of the stadium starting in the fourth quarter.
• Fans can catch the shuttle at four locations on campus – by the Brown parking lot on Barstow and Woodrow Avenues and three locations in the green lot (Green General lots P1-P6), including two near the Student Recreation Center and the Save Mart Center.
• Fresno State has hired more personnel and attendants to keep the restrooms and stadium clean.
• Please use the BADDOG text messaging system for any assistance you might need during your visit to Bulldog Stadium. Text the word 'BADDOG' to 69050 with your issue and location and staff will assist you.
Concessions
• New tasty food choices are coming to Bulldog Stadium, including a special 1/4lb Fresno State "Stadium Dog" from the Fresno State meat lab made by our own Fresno State students.
• Vendors such as Guadalajara, Dutch Brothers Coffee, Jamba Juice, Kona Ice and many more will be in the stadium.
