NFLPA Collegiate Bowl to Feature Three Bulldogs

FRESNO, Calif. - The college football season marches on for Fresno State this Saturday as the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl will feature three members from the 2015 football team - Ejiro Ederaine, Marteze Waller and Charles Washington - each playing for Team American vs. Team National. The game will be televised on ESPN2 at 3 p.m. live from the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.

A GLANCE AT Ejiro Ederaine (Team American - OLB #51):
Ederaine, a 2015 second-team All-Mountain West selection, led the Bulldogs in sacks (9.5), tackles for a loss (16.5) and tackles (99) his senior season. He tied for the Mountain West lead in sacks, ranked second in tackles for a loss and was fourth in total tackles. The outside linebacker tallied two respective seasons recording 15 or make tackles for a loss in his career, joining Alan Harper as the only two players in school history to do so in multiple seasons. Ederaine finished his career at Fresno State with 45.5 TFLs, the second-most in a career in Mountain West history.
A GLANCE AT Marteze Waller (Team American - RB #23):
Waller concluded his four-year career as the No. 4 rusher in school history at Fresno State with 3,108 career yards and is one of five to break the 3,000-yard milestone in school history. He carried the ball 618 times (third-most in school history) and scored 24 touchdowns during his career as a Bulldog. As a senior, Waller rushed for 920 yards and 1,368 yards as a junior - he was selected second-team All-Mountain West in 2014. During his All-MW season, Waller became the second fastest player in school history to reach 1,000 yards, doing so in just 147 carries. Only Ryan Mathews in 2009 did so quicker, as he surpassed 1,000 yards on 138 carries that season. Waller recorded the 21st 1,000-yard rushing season in school history as a junior at clip of 6.1 yards per carry, ranking 12th nationally.
A GLANCE AT Charles Washington (Team American - DB #28):
One of the Bulldogs most versatile defensive backs, Washington started 24 games at safety, 13 at cornerback and one as the nickelback in 50 career games played at Fresno State - he saw a streak of 34 consecutive games started snapped eight games into his senior season, but bounced back to start the final four. Washington registered three career interceptions and 20 pass deflections as well as 202 tackles and 14.0 tackles for a loss. As a senior, Washington recorded 40 tackles and six pass break ups following a junior season where he posted 78 tackles, two interceptions and nine pass break ups.
HEAD COACHES: NFL coaching legends Mike Holmgren and Mike Martz will serve as Head Coaches for the 2016 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. Holmgren will coach the American Team and face Martz's National Team.
TELEVISION: The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl practices and game will be broadcasted live on the ESPN family of channels. The game, scheduled for a 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET kickoff, will air live on ESPN2. In addition, American and National Team practices on January 20 and 21 will be televised live on ESPNU. The game and practices will also be available via WatchESPN.

The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl is the premier post-season all-star game for draft-eligible college players. The week-long schedule provides participants with a first-class professional experience while introducing them to the business of the National Football League.
Founded in 2012, the annual game gives prospective NFL players the best opportunity to showcase their talents to potential employers and fans. In 2015, scouts from every NFL club and other professional leagues attended the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl's practices and game. Nearly 200 NFL Scouts, Player Personnel Staff, GMs and Head Coaches not only watched the live practices and game but also conducted player interviews and reviewed tape.
Participants in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl have the unique opportunity to network with and learn from current and former NFL players. These veterans give players first-hand insight on what it takes to win on and off of the field.
