FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State men's head tennis coach Luke Shields has announced the signing of Lithuanian Mantas Bugailiskis for the 2016 spring season.
The native of Siauliai, Lithuania comes to Fresno State as the No. 1 juniors player in Lithuania. The 6-foot-3 right-handed player holds a top 200 ITF ranking and has multiple wins over top 1000 ATP players. Bugailiskis has also competed for his home country in the Davis Cup, first appearing in 2013.
"We are thrilled to welcome Mantas. He is a huge addition to this program," Shields said. "The values that he possesses as a person match what this program is all about. His international experience mixed with his great attitude will lead to him making an impact on this team right away. Mantas is a confident, yet humble individual that has big goals and a bright future."
