• Eric Kiesau, named interim head coach on Sunday, Oct. 23, will lead Fresno State Friday night vs. Air Force after fifth-year head coach Tim DeRuyter was relieved of his coaching duties following the Bulldogs' 38-20 loss at Utah State.
• Eric Kiesau, a first-year Fresno State offensive coordinator, is a Pasadena, Calif. native that most recently had stops at Alabama (2015), Kansas (2014), Washington (2012-13) and Cal (2011); he has never served in a head coaching capacity.
• With four games remaining on the Bulldogs' schedule, three of four are home dates.
• The Bulldogs are in the midst of a six-game losing streak, its longest losing skid since 2006. The program record is seven games - set once in 1929 and again in 2006.
• Friday's matchup will be the ninth all-time meeting between the Bulldogs and Falcons, and third as Mountain West affiliate members; Fresno State last hosted Air Force on Nov. 24, 2012 - a game the 'Dogs won 48-15 to clinch its first conference title since 1999.
• The Bulldogs' 0-4 MW start, is the first such league game start since 1978 when members of the PCAA (FS defeated Long Beach State in the fifth and final league game that year). ? With 1,710 passing yards, Chason Virgil owns the third-most passing yards among all freshman quarterbacks in the FBS.
• Virgil's primary targets of KeeSean Johnson, Jamire Jordan and Aaron Peck account for 1,549 of his yards; all three rank inside the MW top 10 in receptions per game.
• Junior kicker Kody Kroening connected for a career-long 49-yard field goal on his last attempt, marking his 13th-straight make. He is one of five active FBS kickers with double-digit consecutive made field goals.
• Jeff Camilli ranks 18th nationally in tackles per game at 10.0.

Fresno State is set to honor those who serve this country on Friday night, all in part to what is being called, "Salute to Services." The athletics department has donated tickets to the following groups:
• Air National Guard 144th Fighter Wing
• NAS Lemoore
• California National Guard
• Fresno State ROTC Army and Air Force programs
• The Wounded Warriors project
• WWII Honor Flight Veterans
• Fresno Veterans Home
• Fresno State student Veterans organization
• Clovis Veterans Memorial District
• Fresno State Veterans Education program
Additionally, Mountain View Church members will hold the largest American flag that has ever been inside Bulldog Stadium for the national anthem prior to the game.
