2016-17 Winter Baseball Academy Registration Now Open

FRESNO, Calif. -Â The Fresno State Baseball program announced on Wednesday that it has opened registration for the 2016-17 Winter Baseball Academy.
Athletes from the age of six through junior college aged players are welcome to take part in the academy that will be run by Fresno State coaches and players starting at the beginning of December. The coaches, including head coach Mike Batesole, a two-time national coach of the year, and student-athletes will help run four separate camps, all which will be held at Bob Bennett Stadium.
Bulldog Team Showcase
The 'Dogs will first host the Bulldog Team Showcase for varsity level and elite travel ball clubs from Dec. 2-4. The cost for the three-day camp is $500 and is not an overnight camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own hotel accommodations.
Bulldog Winter Prospect Camp
Later on in December, the Bulldogs will host the Bulldog Winter Prospect Camp on Dec. 17-18. This camp is open to players ranging from ninth grade to junior college. This camp is created specifically for high school players as campers will be given the opportunity to showcase their abilities in a pro style workout and in game situations for the Bulldog coaching staff.Â
Day One will run from 5-9 p.m. and will include a college recruiting talk by the coaching staff as well as offensive and defensive evaluations.  The second day will go from 9:30 a.m - 5 p.m. and will include live game situations for players to showcase abilities. All campers will be provided with a T-Shirt.
The Early Bird Special price of $250 is available if the camper signs up by Dec. 1. After that date, the price moves to $300. This is also not an overnight camp and players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own hotel accommodations.
Junior Bulldog Camp
Next up will be the the Junior Bulldog Camp on Jan. 2-4. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day and is open to kids ages 6-13. Campers will learn drills to improve fundamentals in all areas of the game in a fun competitive environment with instructions provided by Bulldog coaches and players. Each day will be highlighted with a game at the end. All campers will receive lunch and a camp t-shirt.
The Early Bird Special price for the Junior Bulldog Camp is $180 if the camper signs up by Dec. 1. before moving up to $200 after that date.
Bulldog Hitting Academy
Finally, there will be the Bulldog Hitting Academy on Monday and Wednesday evenings - Jan. 2,4,9,11 - during the first two weeks of January. Session one will run from 5-6:30 p.m. and is available to kids ages 7-12. A second session will run from 7-8:30 p.m. and is available for kids ages 13 and up. With the opportunity to receive high quality hitting instruction from Bulldog coaches and players, each age group is limited to 20 participants.
The Early Bird Special price for the Bulldog Hitting Academy is $160 before Dec. 1 before moving up to $180.
There will also be a Sibling and Group Discounts of 10% available for groups of five or more for both the Bulldog Winter Prospect Camp, Junior Bulldog Camp and Bulldog Hitting Academy.
