The Fresno State women’s golf team announced a pair of additions for its 2017-18 roster on Wednesday
FRESNO, Calif. – Head women's golf coach Emily Loftin announced the additions of Emma Larsson and Alison Muirhead to the Fresno State golf program on Wednesday as both have signed their national letters of intent. The pair will be eligible to start competition during the 2017-18 academic year.

"Emma is a fierce competitor and brings with her championship experience and a strong academic resume," Loftin said. "Her love of the game, team spirit, hard work and dedication are traits that make her an exciting addition to this program.

"Alison is a powerful and talented player who will come here and make an immediate impact. Alison's drive for success and unwavering love and dedication to the game is something I cannot wait to bring to Fresno State.

"I could not be happier to have these two ladies become Bulldogs."

Both student-athletes will join the program from the eastern hemisphere as Larrson hails from Sweden and Muirhead is from the United Arab Emirates.

• Skandia Tour Event Champion (75-72)
• First Hole-in-One this year (130 meters)
• Top 20 Finish at the Annika invitational Europe in Bara, Sweden
• Two-time Junior Masters Invitational Final Qualifier and the 2015 Junior Masters Invitational Champion at Onsjö golf club
• Fourth ranked player in her age group, and ranked top 20 in the Junior Swedish Rankings

Hometown: Dubai, UAE
School: DESC, Dubai, UAE

• Two-time Emirates Junior Open Champion, 2015 & 2016
• 2016 English Girls Open Championship, Top 5 finish
• 2016 St Andrews Junior Ladies Open Stroke Play Low Medalist, 69 (-3)
• 2016 Girls' British Open Championship 2016, advanced to round of 32
• 2015 Emirates Golf Federation – Ladies Order of Merit Champion, this is 11 events over 11 courses in the UAE played throughout the 2015-2016 season
