A Look Back:
The 'Dogs were last in competition over a two-day period, Jan. 28-29, and spread between two separate events - the House of Track High Performance Meet in Portland, Ore. and the UW Invitational in Seattle, Wash. Six individuals were sent to the House of Track event, specifically the 4x4 team specialists (Efonye, Harris-Murillo, D. Johnson, K. Johnson, Omawahleh and Pogovec). The relay team registered a 3:47.80 and took first place, but the highlight of the meet was Omawahleh setting a personal record in the 200m dash with a 24.38-second time for a second place finish, bunched between two former Olympians that took first and third (Kineke Alexander and LaVerne Jones-Ferrette).
The UW Invitational saw Annemarie Schwanz, in her first action of the indoor season, run to a first place time in the first heat of the 3000-meter run (9:29.67), while Jestena Mattson (high jump) and Meagan Paracholski (800m) registered season bests at Dempsey Indoor. Mattson registered a 1.70m (5'-7.00"). It tied the overall top mark at the event, but fell short due to the number of attempts for the first place finish. Paracholski registered a season-best and Fresno State season-best 2:15.71 in the 800m run.
