Notes:
• Last time out, Greg Gildea was one of 17 golfers to post a subpar 54-hole score (215) at the John Burns Invitational among a 97-player field. Gildea led Fresno State with its lowest round each day (70-73-72) to finish in a tie for 12th overall.
• Looking back to the Farms Collegiate Invitational final round (spring tournament number one), Greg Gildea has posted no higher than a 73 over his last four rounds of golf.
• The `Dogs midyear transfer Greg Gildea, shares the team's lowest spring scoring average with Alex Lee - 73.67.
• Alex Lee claimed his second top 10 finish of the season at the Farms Collegiate Invitational with a 1-over-par 217.
• Trevor Clayton remains Fresno State's scoring average leader at 71.44 over 18 rounds. He has played in six of seven tournaments this season.
• Alex Lee matches Trevor Clayton for the team-lead in rounds scored par or better with eight each.
• Fresno State is ranked No. 88 according the latest (Feb. 24) Golfstat.com poll.
• The Southwestern Jones Invitational 15-team field consists of two top 25 teams, six top 50 teams and 10 top 100 teams - source Golfstat.com.
• Last year's Southwestern Jones Invitational was held in Valencia, Calif. at Valencia Country Club. The Bulldogs placed 11th at that event (301-289-303=893).
• The 'Dogs will face off against two Mountain West schools (Boise State and No. 20 San Diego State), two Pac 12 schools, as well as representatives from the Big Ten and SEC at the Southwestern Jones Invitational.
• Weather at the Southwestern Jones Invitational on Monday is forecasted to be sunny (High 81F, Low 57) with a zero percent chance of rain and 5-10 mph west northwest winds; Tuesday is forecasted to be sunny (High 80F, Low 56F) with a zero percent chance of rain and 10-15 mph southwest winds.
