Women's Golf inks Danielle Richman

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's golf team is set to add Danielle Richman to its 2016-17 roster, announced by head coach Emily Milberger-Loftin on Thursday. Richman is the first individual to commit to the Bulldogs looking toward next season.
"Danielle is a fierce competitor," said Milberger-Loftin. "She brings with her team championship experience and an incredible academic resume as well. Danielle's passion for golf, love of team, and competition are great assets to add to the program."
Richman is currently a senior at Mira Costa High School (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) and is set to graduate in June. She has been the co-captain for the girls' varsity golf team over the past two seasons.
On Nov. 17, the Mira Costa girl's golf team won the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) state title, the program's first state championship as Mira Costa shot a combined 391 to edge second-place Walnut by three strokes in the CIF state championship at Poppy Hills Golf Course. Richman was named a first-team all-league player at the conclusion of the season.
During the summer of 2015, Richman played rounds in the Toyota Tour Cup, Future Champions Golf, Southern California junior PGA and American Junior Golf Association in preparation for her senior campaign.
The soon-to-be Fresno State Bulldog intends to major in political science for her undergraduate degree. Richman owns a 4.2 GPA as a senior at Mira Costa and a 3.76 cumulative GPA.

• 2015 First-Team All-Bay League (Sr.).
• 2014 Second-Team All-Bay League (Jr.).
• Won Best Delegate award while debating at Georgetown University (2014) and Chicago University (2016).
• Is an International and local conference award winner for the Advanced Model United Nations program.
